Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur hope to sell Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window instead of losing the attacking midfielder on a free next summer.

Eriksen is out of contract at Spurs at the end of the season, and the 27-year-old attacking midfielder has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

The report has claimed that the Denmark international is “adamant” that he does not want to sign a new deal with Tottenham, who have decided to sell him in January and get some transfer fee.

Potential mistake from Tottenham Hotspur?

Eriksen has not been at his best this season, but the Dane remains one of the best and most creative midfielders in Europe.

With Tottenham aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and also looking to progress to the knockout rounds of the Champions League, the North London outfit would be making a major mistake in selling the 27-year-old in January.
