Leeds United star Ezgjan Alioski has expressed his delight on Twitter at the win for his North Macedonia side on Thursday evening.

North Macedonia won 2-1 against Slovenia in their Euro 2020 Group G qualifier.

The result means that Igor Angelovski’s side are now fifth in the table with 11 points from 10 matches.

Alioski, who can operate as a winger or as a left-back, is pleased with his national team’s win.

Alioski is a key figure at Leeds and is one of the first names on head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s teamsheet.

A winger by trade, the 27-year-old has been deployed as a left-back on many occasions this season as well as in 2018-19, and he has done well.

Leeds fans will hope that the former Lugano star returns to Elland Road after the international break without any injury problem.

According to WhoScored, Alioski has made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.
