Leeds United loanee Jack Clarke disappointed after England under-20 result

Tottenham owned talent Jack Clarke got some much needed game time

Tottenham Hotspur summer addition Jack Clarke has not had much luck this season for Leeds United back on loan.

Remarkably he is yet to feature in a Championship game for the Whites, and at times has not even made the bench.

He got some much needed minutes for England's under-20 side away to Italy on Thursday.

It was Manchester United's Angel Gomes who stole the show, scoring twice in a 2-2 draw.

Clarke was pleased to be involved, but his message afterwards suggested his overriding emotion was disappointment at the result.

Disappointing to come away with the draw today, felt we deserved a lot more. A lot of positives and we build towards Monday #younglions

Clarke's international duty is not done yet. He will be involved against Czech Republic in a home fixture in three days time.

He had scored a winner for England's under-20s away at Switzerland last month.

The result may not have gone his way, but Clarke needs all the minutes he can get at the moment and this was a positive step for him.
