Wales could not beat Slovakia and had to settle for a draw.

Wales let a lead slip away to Slovakia to damage their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2020.

Ryan Giggs’ side drew 1-1, conceding a second half goal to cancel out Kieffer Moore’s 25th minute opener.

Tottenham defender Ben Davies was one of the Euro 2016 heroes selected in the starting line up, but he had a difficult night.

Davies was coming off a poor performance at club level for Spurs in their 3-0 loss to Brighton.

This was another display when he was far from his best.

The draw did little for Wales, although their qualification chances still have a shout.

They are three points off Slovakia in second, with a game in hand. Their chances would have been a lot better with an away win last night.

Not even a late sending off for Slovakia could help Wales secure the win.

Tottenham star Davies has now failed to win in any of his last four matches, also spanning Olympiakos and Colchester fixtures.
