The Villa Park summer signing continues to score worldies.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to praise Douglas Luiz following his goalscoring display on international duty, as confirmed by the Villa Park’s social media team.

The 21-year-old midfielder turned out for Brazil Under-23s against Venezuela U23s and, true to form, weighed in with a powerful effort from outside the box.

Luiz was one of three different Selecao goalscorers on the night as Antony bagged a brace and Pedro also got on the scoresheet in a resounding 4-1 win.

Luiz became Aston Villa’s 10th summer signing following promotion to the Premier League when he joined from Manchester City in a deal reported by BBC Sport as costing the Villa Park side £10million.

To date, the Toulon Tournament Player of the Year has made seven appearances in all competitions, including six in the Premier League, and has scored two goals, both in the top flight (Transfermarkt).
