Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard netted another brace last night.

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard scored another two goals for France’s under-21 side last night to maintain an impressive record.

He has played three games for the under-21s, scoring a brace in every one to bring his tally to six goals.

Last night he netted two against Azerbaijan, with his previous goals coming in matches against Czech Republic and Albania.

The competition has not been the strongest, but Edouard has done his job well.

His record at under-19 level was five goals in 13 games, and this form is more reminiscent of his France under-17 form in which he netted 15 goals in 14 appearances.

His goals continue a solid start to the season in which he has scored nine times for Celtic in 17 games.

Edouard is marking himself out as France’s top striker at under-21 level, and his form could attract transfer interest considering the big names which have preceded him.

His former Celtic teammate Moussa Dembele was one of these, and he scored 13 goals in 23 appearances for France’s under-21 side.
