Arsenal youngster is in red hot form. And it puts pressure on Leeds loanee too.

Arsenal already have two of the best strikers in the Premier League in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners are very fortunate too to have two outstanding young strikers pushing for chances too.

Eddie Nketiah impressed in pre-season for Arsenal, scoring in a friendly against Bayern Munich. He is now on loan at Leeds United.

Behind him, another striker has seized his chance for the under-23s this season, Folarin Balogun.

England youth international Balogun is in red hot form. This season he has scored seven goals in seven under-23 games.

He has added a further four assists along the way, with his most recent strike coming in the under-23 draw with Liverpool.

Now there is a possibility that the Gunners give him a chance in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool at the end of October. His form suggests he deserves it.

This could be a bitter blow for Nketiah to take if Balogun is called up, with his Leeds side already eliminated from the competition.

Nketiah did his part, he scored twice in the competition, but he has not managed to earn a league start for Leeds just yet.

He has only 162 minutes of Championship football to his name in two months.

Balogun’s form gives him a leg up, and next summer Arsenal could have an interesting decision to make.

Which one will be kept as cover, and who will be sent out on loan to gain experience?
