West Ham United full-back Aaron Cresswell’s future has been sorted until 2023 with his new deal.
Some West Ham United fans have had a negative reaction to the news that Aaron Cresswell has signed a new contract with the club.
Cresswell has now committed his future to West Ham until 2023, with the left-back rewarded for his recent run of good form.
Cresswell has broken back into Manuel Pellegrini’s side of late, and scored twice in his last three appearances.
The left-back hasn’t always convinced at West Ham in recent times though.
Cresswell has come in for a great deal of criticism over the past year, with some Hammers fans far from impressed with his displays.
And the news that Cresswell has been offered a new deal hasn’t pleased all supporters.
Many Hammers fans feel that the club have been too hasty offering Cresswell a contract extension, and have questioned their side’s ambition.

2 half decent performances and he gets a 4 year contract? Exlcuding the United and Bournemouth games he’s been a championship standard player for at least 2 years— Ronald Weasley⚒ (@BigGeezerRonW66) October 9, 2019
Embarrassing. Yes he’s had a couple of decent performances lately but in the whole he’s been awful. So what you are basically saying is now we are gonna be left with two bang average LBs when that was one area we had to strengthen♂️— Luke Pacey (@lukepacey1) October 9, 2019
Cresswell’s next appearance for West Ham is likely to come after the international break, when they take on Everton.
