The West Bromwich Albion boss was praised by the Baggies loanee, who has already become a fan favourite at The Hawthorns.
A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to praise Matheus Pereira’s heartfelt comments on Baggies boss Slaven Bilic which show how much he’s loving life at The Hawthorns.
The Sporting Lisbon winger, who spent last year in the Bundesliga with Nurnberg on loan from the Portuguese giants, was one of West Brom’s main summer targets, with talks having gone on for weeks before the breakthrough, as confirmed by Luke Dowling (official website).
It’s taken Pereira a few weeks to acclimatise to the English game and get up to full speed but he is now one of the first names on Bilic’s team sheet as he continues to put in high-calibre displays for Albion, who currently sit top of the Championship table.
There has recently also been a report, by the Birmingham Mail, which claims West Brom have agreed a £9million fee with Sporting CP for Pereira, and they only have to activate their option at the end of the season to make the deal permanent, which bodes very well for the Albion faithful.
“Slaven is the man,” Pereira told the Albion media team. “I love the way he passes his messages on to his players. I understand everything he says. It pours out of his soul. You can feel his soul bleed for the club, his players, for the fans. That’s how I feel.”
Needless to say the Brazilian’s comments went down a treat with the West Brom fanbase and some expressed their delight on social media, knowing that one of the best and most in-form players in the division is so happy at The Hawthorns:
