The Baggies boss kept West Brom unbeaten in September which played a big role in the Hawthorns side now being top of the table.

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that Slaven Bilic is in the running for September’s Championship Manager of the Month award.

The Croat’s unbeaten league run continued into September as the Baggies took seven points from a possible nine last month, especially impressive considering that West Brom were behind against Fulham and Huddersfield.

Albion picked up a point in a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage, then thrashed the Terriers 4-2 at The Hawthorns, before seeing off QPR 2-0 on their own patch, results which went a long way to their current spot at the summit of the table – even following their maiden league defeat – ahead of the international break.

Bilic has been nominated alongside Nottingham Forest’s Sabri Lamouchi, Sheffield Wednesday’s Garry Monk and Preston’s Alex Neil, and the winner will be announced tomorrow.

Here is what some of the Baggies faithful made of the news on social media:

Up next for West Brom is their Championship trip to Middlesbrough when the league resumes next week.
