Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, after his comments on Harry Kane.
Chelsea forward Abraham has been called up to the England squad with Kane after his brilliant form for Frank Lampard’s side this season.
Abraham looks set to play second fiddle to the Spurs striker over the international break.
But Abraham has suggested that he is keen to learn all he can from Kane.
“For me, he’s the greatest striker in the world. I would put him up there. I was talking to [Chelsea and England midfielder] Ross Barkley the other day and said I’ve never seen a finisher like him," Abraham said to the London Evening Standard.
"Ross was saying him, Jermain Defoe, and all sorts. But when you look at Harry Kane, if he gets a chance in the box, nine times out of 10, it’s a goal. So I’ll go there learn off him and hopefully be like him.”
The comments from the Chelsea youngster have gone down very well with Tottenham fans, who have given the forward their respect for speaking so honestly.
Always respected Tammy. He’s emerged from a series of loans just like Harry, and will have similar qualities for (Chelsea and) England for it.— ap (@otheranthony) October 9, 2019
What a guy. Respect— All Out Tottenham (jack) (@AllOutTHFC) October 9, 2019
Same path as Harry. Loans that show slight promise but not great, comes into a struggling club that needs them and shows they’re first choice.— G-Lo (@CbullWS) October 9, 2019
My respect for Tammy just skyrocketed— Morgz (@Byngo03) October 9, 2019
Well said mate, a very big talent himself, both have been prepared to do it the hard way , out on loan all over the place— John David Wood (@JohnDavidWood59) October 9, 2019
This is exactly how he is perceived and should be, shinning example and someone like Tammy will learn loads from Kane, great for England and great for Chelsea— Dan (@Daniely79) October 9, 2019
Abraham has actually outscored Kane so far this season, and looks full of confidence.
The Chelsea striker has nine goals across all competitions, with Kane scoring on seven occasions for Tottenham.
Kane will captain England over their next two matches, as Gareth Southgate’s side look to continue their strong start to Euro 2020 qualification.
England take on the Czech Republic and Bulgaria over the coming days, and Abraham will be hoping to be given a chance from the bench by Southgate.
