The Owls boss has enjoyed a bright start to his tenure at Hillsborough with the club close to the Championship playoff places.
The 40-year-old was appointed to the Owls hotseat on 6 September, replacing Steve Bruce who resigned a few months prior, and has overseen three wins, one draw and two defeats from his first six games in charge.
In the Championship, Monk has claimed 10 points from five games as Wednesday entered the second international break of the season eighth in the table, one point shy of the playoffs and three off the top two of West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest, whose managers are also in the running for the accolade.
As well as Monk, Slaven Bilic and Sabri Lamouchi, Preston North End's Alex Neil completes the quartet, with the winner announced tomorrow.
Here is what some Wednesday fans said on Twitter regarding the nomination:
Bilic deserves it. Give it to him, we don’t want your curses!!— SWFC4EVA (@The5herriff) 10 October 2019
