Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Manchester City are fighting for the Premier League title this season.
The former City defender and manager believes that Liverpool will clinch the title by a number of points this campaign.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from eight matches, as many as eight points clear of second-placed City.
Pearce said on The Debate show on Sky Sports Premier League (10:55pm, Wednesday, October 9, 2019): “I think that they are nailed on to win the league, and I think that they are nailed on to win it by a number of points.
“I said two summers ago that they would win the league, and they all but won the league really. Man City were incredible.
“This year they have got fire in their belly, they have got relentless pursuit of winning games, which I have not seen in a lot of teams.”
Liverpool have been brilliant so far this season, and the Reds have been arguably the best team in the Premier League.
An eight-point lead is massive even at this stage of the season, and Pep Guardiola’s side have to step up their game and have to win all of their matches and hope that the Reds slip up.
The Merseyside outfit slipped up last season, and the Anfield faithful will hope that the team have learned their lesson from the 2018-19 campaign.
