Start date for Celebrity Gogglebox Stand Up to Cancer 2019 confirmed

A one-off Celebrity Gogglebox will air this October in aid of Stand Up to Cancer.

Each year Channel 4 run a series of special not-for-profit celebrity TV shows such as Celebrity Hunted and Sink or Swim. Proceedings go to cancer research group Stand Up to Cancer while each episode features donation hotlines and interviews with those affected by the disease.

A celebrity version of the beloved Gogglebox first aired in 2014 and has earned a growing fan base over the years, so much so that Channel 4 launched an entire Celebrity Gogglebox series for the first time earlier this year.

Now, the one-off Stand Up to Cancer episode has a confirmed start date and fans can't wait to see which celebs will be involved!

When is Celebrity Gogglebox: Stand Up to Cancer 2019?

The special celebrity episode will air on Friday, October 25th.

It will air on Channel 4 at 9 pm and will be directly followed by the SU2C episode of The Last Leg.

As always, the episode will be uploaded to the official Channel 4 media player, ALL4, shortly after it finishes broadcasting.

Celebrity Gogglebox 2019: Cast

Channel 4 are yet to announce the celebs that will feature on the SU2C special, speculating nothing more than some "very famous faces".

The network appear to be doing overtime when it comes to roping in celebrities to their staple reality TV shows, with the first-ever Celebrity First Dates Hotel seeing the likes of Blue pop-star Duncan James get steamy by the poolside.

Previous Celebrity Gogglebox stars have included the likes of Naomi Campbell, Boy George, Olly Murs, Peter Crouch, Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran, Jamie Redknapp, Liam Gallagher, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Little Mix, Danny Dyer and Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.

Literally, Celebrity Gogglebox 2019 could see any A-list star join the sofa in the name of Stand Up to Cancer.

On the Channel 4 website, they say:

"Some very famous faces join Britain's favourite opinionated viewers in a special episode of Gogglebox for this year's Stand Up To Cancer.

From Saturday night entertainment juggernauts to the week's biggest news stories, from hard-hitting documentary series to gritty drama, Gogglebox offers sharp, insightful, funny and sometimes emotional critiques of popular and topical TV shows, sparking debates and giving the audience the chance to share those 'we said that!' moment."
