Victor Wanyama is reportedly up for sale at Tottenham Hotspur again, with Celtic keen on the Kenyan.

According to the Glasgow Evening Times, Celtic are on ‘red alert’ after learning that Tottenham Hotspur’s Victor Wanyama could be available in January.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to make changes in the new year, after his side’s poor start to the season, according to the Times.

Wanyama, who was heavily linked with Celtic in the summer, is said to be one of the players who could depart Spurs.

And the Glasgow Evening Times suggest that Neil Lennon’s side are still keen on the Kenyan.

Celtic failed to get a deal over the line for Wanyama in the summer, but the suggestion is that the powerful midfielder may be more willing to take a pay cut this time around.

Wanyama appears to have no future at Spurs, but he would surely be a key player at Celtic upon his arrival.

It was suggested in the summer that Tottenham were looking for £13 million for Wanyama in the London Evening Standard, but whether Celtic could pick him up more cheaply now remains to be seen.

The 28-year-old has not been in good form this term, but he remains popular with Bhoys supporters.

Wanyama spent three years at Parkhead as a youngster, and his return would really lift the mood at Celtic.
