Mesut Ozil has been at Arsenal since 2013.
It has been reported that Arsenal want to offload the attacking midfielder in the January transfer window and are ready to subsidise his wages.
The report has claimed that the 30-year-old – who joined the club from Real Madrid back in 2013 when Arsene Wenger was the manager – believes that he will not get another chance under manager Unai Emery at the North London outfit, and that his career at the Premier League club is over.
It has also been reported by The Mirror that Emery has not been impressed with Ozil’s attitude in training.
Ozil is one of the best attacking midfielders when he is on form, but the former Madrid star has struggled to play to the best of his ability in recent seasons.
The 30-year-old has failed to even make the matchdays squad for the Gunners on many occasions this season, and his influence on the team under manager Emery has not been much.
According to WhoScored, Ozil has played just 71 minutes in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season, while in 2018-19, he made 20 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Gunners, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.
