Dani Ceballos reportedly isn’t keen on heading back to Real Madrid.

According to El Confidencial in Spain, Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos isn’t keen on heading back to Real Madrid next summer, with Arsenal discussing a permanent move.

Ceballos joined Real Madrid from Real Betis in 2017, having won player of the tournament at the UEFA Under-21 European Championships for Spain.

A top talent with Betis, Ceballos found first-team football hard to come by with Madrid, only ever starting 17 La Liga games for the European giants.

The 23-year-old ended up leaving on loan this past summer, heading to Arsenal for the campaign, and he’s shown some promise with a couple of assists to his name.

Now, despite the loan not having a permanent clause, it’s claimed that Arsenal have been having internal discussions about launching a bid to sign Ceballos on a full-time basis in 2020.

Additionally, it’s stated that Ceballos doesn’t want to return to Real and play for them next season, as he doesn’t want to risk sitting around on the sidelines again.

Ceballos allegedly feels that London is an environment that suits him, as he feels valued and respected by Unai Emery – seemingly a big change from life under Zinedine Zidane.

Arsenal fans would surely love to see Ceballos stay long-term, and whilst there’s a long time until the summer window – and plenty of things can change in that time – their chances of keeping the Spaniard look decent as things stand.
