Red Dead Redemption 2 PC specs and requirements - can you run it?

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Specs And System Requirements Arthur Morgan

Rockstar has revealed the specs and requirements for the long-awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally coming to PC next month. Halle-flipping-ujah! While its arrival on the master race was always bound to happen, it's nice that Rockstar has finally made it official after people have had to endure countless "leaks". In addition to revealing the release date though, they have also announced its specs and system requirements, along with bonus single-player content to tempt you into converting back into a cowboy once more.

Some people argue that Red Dead Redemption 2 is an outdated fossil thanks to its clunky gameplay, but we've championed it in the past as one of the best open-world games alongside The Witcher 3 thanks to its incredible tale of redemption and attention to detail. The game's online portion has also been heavily been improved as of late with its summer update.

There's an argument to be made for the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde gang's collapse having already become Rockstar's magnum opus on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it's bound to be even better on PC thanks to the added benefits that come with playing on the 'master race'.

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC specs and system requirements

According to Rockstar themselves, Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC will boast a bunch of new content with graphical enhancements because it clearly wasn't too long and beautiful enough on consoles.

These new graphical and technical enhancements for "deeper immersion" include increased draw distances for better navigation, as well as higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for better day and night lighting, along with superior snow trails. There will also be improved reflections and higher resolution shadows, plus better grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.

In addition to the above, the PC version will also boast HDR support, superior frame rates, multi-monitor and widescreen setups, as well as resolutions of 4K and beyond.
