The Wolverhampton Wanderers ace impressed as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side took all three points from the Premier League champions back to Molineux.

A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Adama Traore being named in the FUT Team of the Week following his heroics against Manchester City last weekend.

The 23-year-old has often split opinion amongst the Molineux fanbase following his switch from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018 due to inconsistent form but on Sunday he put in a pretty much flawless display in Wolves’ 2-0 win at the Etihad.

For the first 70 minutes, Traore kept Man City talisman Raheem Sterling quiet before being shifted by Nuno Espirito Santo to partner Raul Jimenez in attack in the latter stages of the game and went on to score two superb goals on the counter.

Scott Brown and an emotional Celtic farewell

As a result, the Wolves man made into the FUT Team of the Week, something the Molineux side proudly showed off on their Twitter feed:

Some fans responded on the social media platform, with quite a few not liking his RWB position and low defence:

Traore was briefly the Molineux club’s record signing when they triggered the £18million release clause in his Middlesbrough contract in the summer of 2018, as reported by BBC Sport, and is reported to be on £43,000 per week, according to Spotrac.
