West Bromwich Albion playmaker Matheus Pereira has made a huge impact during his time at the Hawthorns so far.

West Bromwich Albion fans are delighted to hear that Matheus Pereira is willing to stay at the Hawthorns for longer than his initial loan spell.

The Birmingham Mail report that West Brom have agreed a £9 million fee with Sporting Lisbon for Pereira, and they only have to activate their option at the end of the season to make the deal permanent.

Pereira is reportedly willing to stay at West Brom already, as he is loving life with Slaven Bilic’s side.

And Baggies fans are delighted over the update on an attacking midfielder who is quickly become one of the most feared playmakers in the Championship.

Pereira’s poise in possession has made him a stand out player in the Baggies’ team.

The skilful midfielder has hit two goals in his last three games, with West Brom making a bright start to life in the Championship.

Bilic’s men have only lost once all season, and currently sit at the top of the Championship table.

If West Brom are to be promoted this season Pereira’s form looks likely to be crucial, and they will be hoping he keeps up his current form to make it look like a no-brainer to take up their £9 million option in May.
