Tottenham's youngsters have done what the senior team couldn't do.
Football can throw up some odd results, as Tottenham's under-21 team's score last night shows.
Spurs' youngsters beat Colchester United 6-5 on penalties in the EFL Trophy, after a 1-1 draw on penalties.
This might not have been so strange, had the first team not lost to Colchester just last month. Spurs had drawn that game 0-0 before losing on penalties.
Tottenham's goal was scored by young midfield talent Tashan Oakley-Boothe.

The result left Spurs fans stunned, so close after the first team's loss at the Jobserve Community Stadium.
This was Tottenham's second game in the EFL Trophy this season following an earlier defeat.
On this occasion though, Colchester had made eight changes to the team which beat Spurs in late September.
Even so, the result caused some amusement for Tottenham supporters....
