Erik ten Hag has been a real hero at Amsterdam with Ajax but who could he sign if he was appointed at Everton?

An exclusive report from 90min claimed that Everton are considering appointing Ajax's Erik ten Hag as their new manager if they decide to part ways with Marco Silva.

Silva has had a torrid start to this season having won just two of Everton's opening eight games. The Toffees are now stuck in the relegation zone and Silve might not be around in the coming weeks to turn their season around.

Ten Hag would undoubtedly be a hugely exciting appointment for Everton after how well he did with Ajax last season. The Dutchman helped the historic Eredivisie side to their first league win in five years while also leading them to the semifinals of the Champions League where they were unlucky to have been knocked out by Tottenham.

From handing out debuts to Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt to turning around the career of someone like Dusan Tadic, ten Hag has built himself an exceptional reputation. However, the Premier League is a different gravy and he will need to use all his networks to bring in top players.

Three players ten Hag could sign for Everton if he takes over:

Noa Lang:

One of Dutch football's brightest young talents, Lang was given his debut by ten Hag last month in the Europa League against Lille. The 20-year-old, an attacking midfielder by trade, is capable of playing on either wing and would be a quality long-term replacement to Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Icelandic international hasn't quite looked like the player he was 18 months ago and has massively struggled since the start of the season. Lang would be a breath of fresh air at Goodison and would thrive in Everton's midfield with the likes of Richarlison, Kean and Iwobi ahead of him.

Denzel Dumfries:

Seamus Coleman will turn 31 soon while Djibril Sidibe will return to Monaco once his loan deal concludes at the end of the season. Ten Hag will need to look for a suitable solution at right-back if he was to take over from Marco Silva and PSV's Denzel Dumfries would be a fantastic signing.

The 23-year-old was one of Eredivisie's best defenders last season and has started off this campaign in fine fashion. Dumfries already has three goals and two assists in nine games and with over 100 senior games of experience for club and country, he would be a massive upgrade for the Toffees at right full-back.

Teun Koopmeiners:

A complete package at just 21, Koopmeiners is already AZ Alkmaar's captain. The Dutch under-21 international is as versatile as they come having played everywhere across central midfield as well as at centre-back.

Koopmeiners would be perfect for ten Hag's system as a deep-lying playmaker or at centre-half from where he can set Everton's pacy attackers free. The youngster is also a set-piece specialist and has the ability to score from distance with both feet. He would be a fine signing for the Toffees and his versatility would be pivotal in ten Hag's system.
