Chelsea forward Willian has been massively improved in recent weeks.

According to the Daily Mail, Frank Lampard expressed his frustrations with Chelsea’s senior players in a team meeting last month.

After Chelsea lost back to back games, Lampard called upon his more experienced players to take more responsibility.

Lampard reportedly urged the likes of Willian and Pedro to pick up their games, to help the young players in his squad out.

According to the Mail, Lampard feels that Chelsea still need their senior players to play well – even though he has shown great faith in youth this season – if they to break into the top four.

And Lampard’s team meeting seems to have had the desired impact on his team.

Chelsea have now won their last four matches across all competitions, with Willian really stepping up.

Lampard claimed that Willian had been Chelsea’s best player in recent weeks, with the Brazilian earning plenty of plaudits.

The Blues won 4-1 against Southampton at the weekend in their last match, and look to really be clicking into gear now.

Chelsea are next in action against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge after the international break.
