Ben White has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that West Bromwich Albion are the most impressive team that he has faced since joining Leeds United.

White joined United on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion this past summer.

Prior to this season, the 21-year-old hadn't kicked a ball in the Championship but, such is his quality, the young centre-back has adapted like a duck to water.

Leeds have suffered a number of defeats in the Championship, from the likes of Charlton and Millwall, but White claims no team has impressed him more than the Baggies, whom Marcelo Bielsa's side beat.

Albion left Elland Road after losing 1-0 last week, and White, reflecting on his brilliant start to life in Yorkshire, singled out Slaven Bilic's side for praise.

He told The YEP: "They were really good. They put a real shift in. We came out with a win, but I’d definitely say we’re up there.”

West Brom were, as White claimed, 'really good' and on another night Leeds might not have won the game.

Then again, there has been plenty of occasions where Bielsa's side dropped points in games that they could and should have won this season, so the fans won't care too much about that.

West Brom are top of the Championship, two points above the fifth-placed Whites.
