The Toffees academy graduate has been compared to Goodison Park coach and legend Duncan Ferguson.
The 20-year-old joined the Goodison Park side in September 2014 and he has made one senior appearance for the Toffees to date, against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League in 2017 (Transfermarkt).
Hornby has been in impressive form for both the Everton Under-18s and Everton Under-23s over the years, and in order to get competitive senior football, he joined the Belgian side on loan back in August.
The Scotland Under-21 forward's debut for Kortrijk came relatively late due to the need to recover from an injury and getting back to full match fitness but he has hit the ground running, featuring in each of their last four games in all competitions.
Hornby's has so far claimed three goals and one assist for Yves Vanderhaeghe's side, with one goal and one assist in the Belgian Cup against RFC Seraing and a brace in the Belgian First Division A clash against Sint-Truiden.
As a result, the Toffees man picked up 22.2 percent of the club poll's votes, beating out competition from Sebastien Bruzzese and Julien De Sart.
