A whole host of top European stars have risen through the ranks at Croatia’s biggest club, including Luka Modrid, Andrej Kramaric, Mateo Kovocic and Dejan Lovren.
And it looks like Marin, an 18-year-old forward who has made four appearances in the first team this season, is set to follow in their footsteps – if he stays in Zagreb that is.
According to Sky, Manchester City are keeping close tabs on Marin after he scored against them during a 2-2 draw in the UEFA Youth League last week.
Chelsea, who have been transformed into one of the Premier League’s youngest and most exciting attacking teams since Frank Lampard returned, are interested too.
Calciomercato first linked City with Marin back in March, while claiming that Zagreb want around £13 million for their prized asset. Apparently, the Croatian league champions believe Marin is on a level with Real Madrid starlets Rodrygo Goes and £40 million Vinicius Junior, though the former has a long way to go before he can prove that those comparisons are on the money.
