Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk helped Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Chelsea 2-1 earlier this season.
Chelsea came up against Liverpool earlier this season and were beaten 2-1 at Stamford Bridge by Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Although the game was a close contest, Abraham was unable to hit the back of the net.
The young striker was well marshalled by Van Dijk, as Liverpool picked up the three points.
And Abraham admits that Van Dijk is a hugely difficult opponent to play against.
“He’s a beast,” the Chelsea forward said. “He’s just good at what he does. He’s experienced. I try to do a little… I try to use my tricks in my head but his understanding of the game is top drawer.
“It is to do with little things. Movement. My movement in the box, some defenders don’t pay attention to me – they are only focussed on the ball.
“With him, it’s kind of both, he’s paying attention to me and the ball, knows where I am, knows where I want to go, follows me.
“It’s quite annoying for a striker – just leave me alone!”
Despite Van Dijk dealing with him well Abraham’s excellent form in the Premier League has certainly impressed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who has told the Metro that the forward is worth £60 million.
Van Dijk is one of the only defenders in the Premier League to deal with Abraham well this season.
Abraham’s form at Chelsea has been nothing short of remarkable, and he currently leads the way in the Premier League scoring charts.
Van Dijk, meanwhile, has played a key role as Liverpool have taken maximum points from their first eight games.
The Dutch defender has been rock solid, and has helped Klopp’s side build up an eight point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
