Some Reading fans are reacting on Twitter after their on-loan Everton goalkeeper, Joao Virginia, was called up by Portugal Under-21s.
Virginia left Everton on a season-long deal in the summer transfer window, but has shipped five goals in his two Championship outings for Reading.
Both of those games ended in defeat. And although the Portuguese can hardly be blamed for his side's opening-weekend loss to Sheffield Wednesday, his role in their August reverse to Hull was justifiably scrutinised.
It was his failure to grasp Kamil Grosicki's tame shot which allowed Jarrod Bowen to score an early opener for the Tigers, who went on to win 2-1.
And for some of a Reading persuasion, a swift return to Everton was required for Virginia at the time.
While that has not quite happened, Virginia has appeared just once since then and made another slip up in the Royals' League Cup defeat to Wolves - failing to keep out Bruno Jordao's daisy-cutter - costing him a place in the matchday 18 altogether.
And this is what is being said on Twitter after the teenager was named in his country's squad to face the Netherlands this week...
