The striker was allowed to leave Rangers by the Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard in August.

Just days after Bolton Wanderers announced his arrival the former Rangers striker, Joe Dodoo, made his debut for the League One side.

Dodoo had his Rangers deal terminated by mutual consent ahead of the summer transfer deadline, having struggled to break into Steven Gerrard’s plans at Ibrox.

That allowed the 2016 Rangers recruit to move freely outside of the window and, after weeks of speculation, he is finally a Trotters player.

Dodoo was formally introduced to the Bolton fans on Monday, playing the final 35 minutes as Keith Hill’s side held a Blackpool one containing the Ghanaian’s former Rangers teammate Ryan Hardie to a 0-0 draw.

And this is what those of a Wanderers persuasion made of Dodoo’s performance – against the club he previously played for on loan from Rangers…

Dodoo, who is reunited with his ex-Bury manager David Flitcroft at Bolton, only played 27 times for Rangers’ first team and scored five goals.

Bolton fans – what do you make of the former Rangers man’s signing?
