The Gunners midfield ace has had a superb month for Unai Emery and co.

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Matteo Guendouzi has been voted the Gunners Player of the Month for September, as per the official Arsenal website.

Guendouzi enjoyed a superb month for Unai Emery’s side as the North Londoners began September with a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in which the France Under-21 ace put in a great second-half performance.

The 20-year-old also impressed in the game against Aston Villa in which Arsenal twice came from behind to beat their opponents 3-2, winning a penalty that Nicolas Pepe converted, before providing an assist for Calum Chambers.

As confirmed by the Arsenal website, Guendouzi received 48 per cent of the votes cast, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finishing in second place and Chambers in third place.

Here is what some Gunners fans said on social media regarding the update:

Despite competition from the likes of Lucas Torreira and Joe Willock, the £40.5million-valued ace (Transfermarkt) has made the centre-midfield position his own alongside captain Granit Xhaka, with nine appearances under his belt this season according to Transfermarkt.
