The midfielder Everton could reportedly pay £10 million for used to play for Aston Villa.

Everton’s former Aston Villa midfielder, Fabian Delph, has withdrawn from England’s squad to face the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

Delph suffered an injury in Everton’s defeat at Burnley on Saturday, but according to a Football Association statement ‘no further replacements are planned at this moment in time’.

But some Aston Villa fans are urging the England manager, and another of their former players, Gareth Southgate, to turn to a current Villan nonetheless…

Jack Grealish scored his first Premier League goal of the season in Aston Villa’s 5-1 win at Norwich City on Saturday, and also has a couple of assists to show for his eight top-flight outings so far.

The 24-year-old has won seven caps for the England Under-21s, the first four of which were awarded to him by Southgate, but has yet to play for the senior side.

His Aston Villa teammates Tom Heaton and Tyrone Mings have, however, made the Three Lions’ latest selection, along with Delph’s Everton colleagues Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane.

Is there anyone else who could replace the injured Everton midfielder?
