Graham Roberts has slammed the Tottenham players and agreed with Jermaine Jenas that the club must stick with under-fire boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs' week went from bad to worse at Saturday lunchtime when they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton.
After that match, former Premier League midfielder Jenas made it clear that he doesn't want Pochettino to leave as he lauded him as a 'top manager', as quoted by Football London.
Club legend Roberts responded to Jenas' comments via his personal Twitter account, as he made a brutal yet honest assessment of the whole situation and made it clear that it is the players who need to look in the mirror.
I agree poch is a great manager think some of the players need to look at there self in the mirror and ask them self’s if they giving there best— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) October 5, 2019
It hasn't just been a difficult week for Pochettino and his players, but a difficult summer and start to the new season.
Only in June were the players preparing for a Champions League final, but since then, a number of things have gone wrong.
During his time at the club, Pochettino has proven how far he can take Spurs, what he can do with some of the best players, and how he can develop young talent.
There's no doubt he will want to showcase that again, but in order for him to do that, he may need to part ways with some star players who may not want to be at the club.
