Arsenal beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

Arsenal made it five Premier League games without defeat this afternoon as they beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners drew with Manchester United on Monday night before hammering Standard Liege on Thursday, and they were looking to get past a tricky Bournemouth side today.

Unai Emery saw his side take an early lead, as David Luiz headed Nicolas Pepe’s corner into the net, and fans will have been sensing real opportunities to go and score a few.

However, Arsenal couldn’t carve out too many more great chances, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starved of service in a somewhat unconvincing performance from the Gunners.

Bournemouth couldn’t get back into the game though, and fell to a 1-0 defeat as Arsenal moved up to third in the Premier League, just a point behind Manchester City.

Some Arsenal players struggled to really hit top form today, but defender Calum Chambers turned in a strong performance as he continued at right back.

The 24-year-old returned from his loan spell at Fulham without much fanfare, but he’s now managed to replace Ainsley Maitland-Niles at right back, and repaid Emery’s faith today.

Some fans called him ‘outstanding’ and ‘phenomenal’ after such a strong performance, believing he was head and shoulders above every other player on the pitch.

Others felt this was ‘another masterclass’ from Arsenal, with the Englishman really impressing Gunners fans in today’s victory.
