Christian Eriksen might have had his worst-ever performance in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt this afternoon.
Mauricio Pochettino's side were thumped 3-0 at Brighton & Hove Albion to make it one of the darkest weeks in the modern history of the North London club.
On Tuesday, Tottenham, who are 13 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, were smashed 7-2 at home to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, prompting questions over Pochettino's future.
The players did Pochettino no favours that night and the same has happened again this afternoon.
Apart from perhaps Moussa Sissoko, no Spurs star covered themselves in much glory at The Amex and that is particularly true of Eriksen.
The Denmark international played like a man who simply did not want to be at the club once again, with his set-pieces failing to beat the first man and simple passes not reaching the target.
In addition to that, there was a stench of apathy in Eriksen's reaction to his own struggle this afternoon and suffice to say that Tottenham fans have had enough of the former Ajax star, who was linked with a move away this past summer but wound up staying.
Another gutless and pathetic performance from @ChrisEriksen8 today. Get this little weasel out of my club!— Will. (@WRN89) October 5, 2019

He dhould never play for spurs again he is a disgrace— Gerard Holden (@Gerard39191609) October 5, 2019
And that's being generous, I would give him 1 for making it onto the pitch. He should be playing with the U19 ,MP is sending the wrong message to the team, and it's rubbed of on every one, MP has allowed all the good work to implode. Coys— Errol Burnett (@Burnett6Errol) October 5, 2019
Should sell eriksen in winter asap— Sondays (@sonswembley) October 5, 2019
This is coming from an ex-Dane-enthusiast
Eriksen absolutely awful again today— Aaron O'Connor (@Aaron_0_Connor) October 5, 2019
How the hell Eriksen still gets in this team I don’t know— Alex Benson-Wilson (@alexbw11) October 5, 2019
His performances been awful
This isn't the first time that Eriksen - who earns £75,000 per week [Spotrac] - has had a shocker this season and it clearly won't be the last.
At this stage, under-pressure Pochettino needs to pick players who he can depend on to save his job and Eriksen, right now, is absolutely not in that bracket.
