Hartson told Football FanCast: “Listen, I would pay Guardiola myself to get Foden on loan at Celtic.

“What a coup that would be for Celtic! Roberts was fantastic in his first year and it didn’t quite work out in the second year.

“But Foden would be fantastic for the fans to watch. He’s one of the best young players out their right now.”

Promising talent

Foden is one of the best and most promising young players in England, and there is no doubt that the Englishman is a star of the future.

The 19-year-old has made a handful of appearances for the City first team, but the teenager has shown enough quality and calibre to suggest that he is a star in the making.

The England Under-21 international is only 19 years of age, and he does have a bright future at City.

Blockbuster signing for Celtic

It is hard to see City manager Pep Guardiola let Foden leave on loan in the January transfer window, but there is no doubt that the youngster would be a blockbuster signing for Celtic.
