Tottenham Hotspur have lost against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League this afternoon.

Gus Poyet has told BBC Sport that Mauricio Pochettino will not leave Tottenham Hotspur now.

The former Tottenham midfielder and Brighton and Hove Albion manager made the prediction about Pochettino following the North London club’s defeat this afternoon.

Spurs suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Brighton away from home in the Premier League today.

It followed a 7-2 hammering by Bayern Munich at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Champions League in midweek.

Poyet told BBC Sport: “Mauricio Pochettino is an excellent manager and a fighter. He will not want to go now.

“He will want to get this team in a happier place. Yes bad times for sure. But things can change quickly. The international break is at the right time.“

Tottenham Hotspur stay

Pochettino has been at Tottenham since 2014, and the Argentine has been superb for the North London outfit.

Under the Argentine, Spurs have become regular challengers for the Premier League title and consistently play in the Champions League.

It is hard to see Pochettino leave Tottenham right now, and the North London club’s fans should be confident that the team will bounce back from today’s defeat.

Tottenham will return to action on October 19 when they take on Watford at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.
