Some Wolves fans were left delighted by the display of Willy Boly tonight in a tricky away match to Turkish side Besiktas in the UEFA Europa League.

After losing to Braga in the opening game of their group stage campaign, there was a bit of pressure for Nuno Santo's team to pick up a result to boost their hopes of progression to the knockout rounds.

The 1-0 win tonight puts them right in the hunt for that.

The one man who Wolves could count on was Boly, who was his usually reliable self in the defensive line.

He was also the hero who scored a dramatic late winner, thrilling fans of the club at the stadium and watching on via television.

As shown by WhoScored.com, he was an effective presence throughout, winning five of his six aerial battles, making three interceptions and four clearances.

He was an absolute rock, even without considering his attacking contribution.

The upcoming double header against Slovan Bratislava gives Wolves a great chance to go on and pick up even more points in the group, before facing Besiktas and Braga again.

As for Boly, well he'll be hoping to bring tonight's performance into an exceptionally tough match away to Manchester City on Sunday.
