The Leeds United striker impressed in Tuesday’s narrow win over West Brom.
Leeds United fans are effusively praising Patrick Bamford on Twitter – and rightly so.
The Whites bounced back from a 1-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic by beating promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion by the same scoreline at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
And although Bamford was not the match-winner, the 25-year-old posted a brilliant centre-forward display for Leeds last night.
The former Middlesbrough hitman, a £10 million signing by United in 2018 [BBC Sport], came in for criticism for being a bit too lightweight during his maiden season in West Yorkshire.
But he produced a very strong and very aggressive performance against the likes of Kyle Bartley in central defence, while his hold-up play was also something to marvel at on occasion.
Here’s how Leeds fans reacted to his shift:

You could forgive Bamford if he was struggling for confidence these days. After all, he hasn’t scored in over a month now, despite getting plenty of chances in all five games since the win at Stoke City.
But he does not look or play like a striker who is out-of-form and that’s perhaps testament to Bielsa’s man-management.
He isn’t giving off the impression that he’s desperate to break the duck, prioritising the team and when the club’s mantra is Side Before Self, the supporters were always going to admire his display last night.
