Premier League leaders Liverpool will host Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League tonight and Jurgen Klopp will be watching Szoboszlai closely.

Liverpool will face Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League tonight. And, just to add an extra subplot to an already intriguing encounter, the Sun (2 October, page 52) reports that Jurgen Klopp’s side are interested in the Austrian’s £15 million-rated playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai.
Arguably the most talented Hungarian footballer of his generation, Szoboszlai is no stranger to transfer speculation.
Just this week, the Mail claimed that Arsenal will send scouts to watch him at Anfield on Wednesday evening but they are not the only Premier League giants coveting a young midfielder who models his game on Toni Kroos and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Goal).
The Sun reports that Szoboszlai also has admirers at Anfield and he has the perfect opportunity to pave the way for a move to the European champions when he travels to Merseyside for the first time today.

Much of the pre-match focus has been firmly fixed on Szoboszlai’s Salzburg team-mate Erling Braut Haaland, the teenager striker who scored a hat-trick in match-day one against Genk.
But a teenager with five Hungary caps on his CV already has the potential to cut open Liverpool’s backline with his perfectly weighted passes and pinpoint set-pieces. And, who knows, should Szoboszlai shine tonight maybe he could be playing at Anfield permanently in the near future.
