Ex-Arsenal star Serge Gnabry tore Tottenham apart last night.

Arsenal didn’t exactly enjoy a great Monday night as they only drew at Manchester United, but they’ll have at least enjoyed Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat last night.

Spurs were completely obliterated by Bayern Munich in their second Champions League group stage game, remarkably losing 7-2 despite taking the lead through Son Heung-min.

Robert Lewandowski scored with a couple of fine finishes, but it was Bayern attacker Serge Gnabry who stole the headlines having smashed four of Bayern’s seven goals.

Tottenham couldn’t handle Gnabry at all, as his pace and pinpoint finishing saw him run riot in the second half, scoring all four of his goal inside the final 40 minutes.

The 24-year-old celebrated on Twitter given that he used to play for Arsenal, taking great delight in returning to North London to take down Arsenal’s bitter rivals.

Arsenal fans will have both loved his display and been a little gutted that the Gunners sold him three years ago, without ever really giving him a consistent first-team chance.

In fact, some Arsenal fans remembered that the club effectively sold Gnabry in order to help Alex Iwobi come through the ranks – a move which now looks pretty ridiculous.

Arsenal sold Iwobi to Everton in August, and fans suggested that the thought of selling Gnabry to bring through Iwobi makes them feel sick now, even claiming they’ll never forgive the Gunners for making that decision, mocking Iwobi and the club’s decision-making in the process.
