There was a somewhat unfamiliar name in the Leeds United Under-23s' squad for Monday's defeat against Crewe Alexandra.
It was the first time Cooper Skerry had made Carlos Corberan's 16, just days after he appeared in the U18s' loss against Sheffield United.
And the sight of Skerry's name on the teamsheet for Crewe had some Leeds fans scratching their heads.
But it appears the Australian goalkeeper is a new addition to the Whites' youth ranks, with the @leedsutdacademy Twitter account having posted the following last week:
But Skerry, who is followed a number of Leeds youngsters on Instagram, has yet to be formally announced as a Whites player.
Skerry was previously on the books of Brisbane City, who compete at the highest level of the Queensland State League, playing U18s football.
Whilst there, he was one of nine Azzurri players selected for a regional training camp aimed at identifying potential future Australia internationals.
Brisbane City hosted a Legends Lunch event featuring two former Leeds players, Robbie Fowler and Michael Bridges in August.
