Call Of Duty Mobile How To Use PS4 And Xbox One Controller On IPhone

A Call Of Duty Mobile update has made it impossible to play with a PS4 and Xbox One controller on iPhone.

Unfortunately, a recent update for Call Of Duty Mobile has made it impossible to play with a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One controller on iPhone.

Per a report from Gamespot, the official Activision Support Twitter account has responded to a complaint about controllers no longer being supported. Activision's response clarified that this is due to an update.

This is undoubtedly disappointing, but the lack of clarification as to whether controller support will ever return is even more worrying. If PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controller support does return to Call Of Duty Mobile at a later date, then the below methods should work for iPhone.

Original story:

Call Of Duty Mobile has finally launched on iOS and Android following a very successful beta. This might not be good enough news to calm those who are justly annoyed about Modern Warfare's Survival Mode being a Sony exclusive for a whole year, but it's still a decent turn of events for mobile gamers. Below you'll discover how to use the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controller on iPhone for the app.

Activision first announced Call Of Duty for mobile phones back in March. This was received with somewhat of an uproar of discontent thanks to the publisher also stating that they'd like to develop and release more smartphone games in the future.

Mobile games have a bad reputation, but they are becoming more of a permanent and major figure in the gaming industry with every passing year. Fortnite and PUBG Mobile are two of the leading titles in the market, and Call Of Duty fans may want to check out their series' own mobile spin-off for a number of reasons.

What is Call Of Duty Mobile?

Call Of Duty Mobile is an iOS and Android title that has seen Activision team up with Tencent Games. Rather than being an unrecogniseable spin-off that has nothing to do with Call Of Duty but the name, the game is instead a first-person shooter that employs many familiar modes.

Some of these modes include Free-For-All, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint and Zombies, as well as the gaming industry's never-ending craze, Battle Royale. As well as familiar modes, the mobile title also boasts recognisable Call Of Duty weapons and maps such as Nuketown, Hijacked and Killhouse.

You can download it now from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. And yes, it's "free-to-play."

While your principles may make it hard for you to download the game, you should know that it has been described as the best FPS on smartphones. This basically translates to give it a shot.

In order to use the PlayStation 4 controller for Call Of Duty Mobile on iPhone, you will need to have installed update iOS 13. Only the below iPhones are compatible with the update (via iDropnews).

  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 6s and 6s Plus
  • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
  • iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
  • iPhone X and iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max

Provided your device is compatible with the update, you will then need to pair the PS4 controller with your iPhone. To do this, you must proceed to Settings and turn Bluetooth on. Bluetooth will obviously need to be turned on for your controller, too.

After you've done that, you then need to simply hold down the PlayStation button and Share button simultaneously for three to four seconds. The lightbar at the top of your controller should then begin to flash, and this means it's connecting to your iPhone.

All you will need to do then is select your controller when you see its name pop up on your iPhone's list of devices.
