Ryan Fredericks has told the Telegraph that West Ham United’s Andriy Yarmolenko is carrying the side at times.

Yarmolenko scored his third goal for West Ham in his last four games against Bournemouth at the weekend.

The Ukrainian turned brilliantly before curling in a wonderful finish to put West Ham in front against Bournemouth on Saturday.

And Fredericks admits that he has been very impressed by Yarmolenko’s performances this term.

“He’s carrying us at times,” Fredericks said.

“He’s been top class. He was out for eight months or so last year. I don’t care who you are, when you miss that much football you’re not going to come back flying straight away. But he pretty much has. We want to give him the ball as much as possible. We know something is going to happen. He’s a little bit different. Unpredictable.”

Yarmolenko’s return to fitness for West Ham has been hugely impressive, and made them even more of an attacking threat.

The Hammers appear to have the firepower required to challenge most teams in the Premier League this term, after what has been an impressive start to the season.

West Ham were unable to hold on to their lead against Bournemouth, but they still picked up what was a highly credible point, when Aaron Cresswell lashed home an equaliser at Dean Court.

West Ham are now up to fourth place in the Premier League table, with seven games played so far this term.
