Jamie Redknapp comments on impact Lo Celso return would make for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is out injured and working hard to get fit.

While unlikely Spurs will see him before the upcoming international break, pundit Jamie Redknapp is already talking up the Argentine for the impact he could make for this Spurs side.

Redknapp told The Mail: "They need the Argentine back from his hip injury as soon as possible. When you need to unlock teams, you need that player who can do something special."

Spurs struggled at the weekend against Southampton, but some of that was because they were reduced to 10 men due to Serge Aurier's red card.

Not too much should be expected from Lo Celso initially when he returns, but over the course of the season he could have a big impact.

Last season he scored and assisted into double figures for Real Betis, catching the attention of teams across Europe.

Spurs pushed strongest to sign him, and after pulling off a deal on deadline day, they have not had much luck so far due to his injury. The rest could have done him good and Spurs should be positive that the move will eventually pay off.
