Arsenal supporters on Twitter would like to see Hector Bellerin become their captain following his comments about their rivals Tottenham.
The 24-year-old, who has just returned from a long-term injury, stated that he hates Tottenham because of his 'love' for Arsenal, as quoted by The Guardian.
His comments have gone down very well with the Arsenal faithful, who recently saw midfielder Granit Xhaka named captain following a vote.
A lot of has been made of the lack of leaders at Arsenal, with Xhaka receiving a lot of criticism from fans for his performances and lack of leadership qualities.
Nonetheless, Bellerin is a popular figure amongst the Emirates faithful, who will be keen to see him back on the pitch on a regular basis very soon.
He returned to action during Arsenal's EFL Cup win against Nottingham Forest last Tuesday, and he will now slowly, but surely build up his fitness levels.
He has already missed the first North London derby of the new season – Arsenal came from 2-0 down to record a 2-2 draw against their bitter rivals at the Emirates Stadium last month.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Arsenal fans on Twitter reacting to Bellerin's comments about Spurs:
