The Hoops defender has long been one of Parkhead's best performers but his form for the Bhoys has stuttered recently.
A number of Celtic fans have been commenting on Twitter about the Hoops drawing against Hibernian and one of the players who was in the spotlight was defender Kristoffer Ajer.
The 21-year-old has long been deemed one of the Bhoys' best players but he had a day to forget at Easter Road, turning Christian Doidge's cross into his own net to give Hibs the lead just eight minutes in.
Admittedly Ajer was unlucky with the own goal, but it could be argued he could have done better, and was also booked for a needless sliding tackle in the middle of the park near the end of the first half.
The Norway international's form has stuttered a bit since his return from injury and, with Celtic's city rivals in good form and snapping at the Bhoys' heels in the Scottish Premiership table, Neil Lennon and co need him to get back to his unplayable best.
Here is what some of the Parkhead faithful on social media made of the £15million-rated (Leicester Mercury) player's display on the day:
Needless yellow card for Ajer.— Soviet Селтик ☭ (@SovietCeltic) 28 September 2019
Does he really think he can win the ball in that situation from a slide tackle?
Does this far too often....coaches no have a word wi him???— Ally Beattie (@AllyBeattie3) 28 September 2019
Really needs to learn can’t win every ball. Just close down ST & let him know your there. ST could only go back towards own goal— Robert McKenzie (@burningherb88) 28 September 2019
He needs dropped until he learns to stay on his feet.— (@NastyStoichkov) 28 September 2019
Fed up saying the same thing. Never seems to learn...— John Gerard Collins (@collinsjg57) 28 September 2019
Ajer booked when going to ground. Can someone PLEASE have a word— Harry Brady (@HarryBradyCU) 28 September 2019
Ajer is a liability. Can't stay on his feet and loves a jersey pull.— Ped (@BigBuck_78) 28 September 2019
Ajer has now scored more goals against Celtic than Morelos— Stephen Bolingoli (@TheBhoyCha) 28 September 2019
Still a young bhoy still got a lot to learn I agree goes to ground to easily he’s like bambi on ice some time but will defo come good— Andy baird (@Andybaird12) 28 September 2019
He is prone to errors and should tie his arms behind his back sometimes he just needs coaching still young— lawman (@Jimmilaw) 28 September 2019
Ajer joined Celtic in July 2016 during Ronny Deila's tenure and initially made a slow start to life at Parkhead but soon became indispensable for the Hoops, making 45 appearances in all competitions last term (Transfermarkt).
Up next for the Bhoys is Thursday's Europa League clash against CFR Cluj at Parkhead.
