The Liverpool skipper struggled in this afternoon’s win it seems.

Liverpool moved eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Jurgen Klopp’s side edged out Sheffield United with a 1-0 victory in Yorkshire this afternoon.

Gini Wijnaldum was the hero for Liverpool who extended their lead over Pep Guardiola’s side, who go to Everton tonight.

But some Reds fans weren’t happy with a number of their players today – and that was particularly true of captain Jordan Henderson.

The Liverpool star struggled to impose himself in Klopp’s midfield and did not add much in an attacking sense, before the German manager hooked him midway through the second half.

Here’s how the supporters reacted to their skipper’s performance:

Henderson, who earns £140,000 per week on Merseyside [Spotrac], has had a brilliant season for the most part, but this was certainly an off-day for the former Sunderland starlet.

Alongside Wijnaldum in midfield, the duo looked devoid of ideas in an attacking sense and it’s probably no coincidence that the Dutchman scored the winner once his team-mate went off.
