West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini seems to have backed Arthur Masuaku as his side’s first choice left-back this season.

Masuaku appears to have replaced Cresswell in West Ham’s starting line-up this season, with the Frenchman impressing.
However, Cresswell came back into West Ham’s team last weekend, with Masukaku suspended, and he bent in a free-kick as Manuel Pellegrini’s side beat Manchester United 2-0.
Pellegrini now has food for thought, as he decides on who to play at left-back in his side’s next match, which comes against Bournemouth tomorrow.
And Cresswell admits that he will have no problem if Pellegrini does opt to bring Masuaku back into his side’s starting line-up.
“The main thing is the team and some weeks you won’t be playing, so you’ve got to get your head down and work hard,” Cresswell said.
“Listen, Arthur is a fantastic player, a great lad, we all get along and, whoever the manager picks, I’ll be supporting him and vice-versa.

“If you ask Arthur or any player, the main thing is the team and everyone would say that.”
Cresswell’s form at West Ham has taken a dip in recent seasons, with his performances often being criticised.
But his confidence should be on a high after his goal against United, which may just give him the edge over Masuaku.
If West Ham are able to beat Bournemouth they could move up as high as second in the Premier League table, if other results go in their favour.
