Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson names his toughest ever opponent

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is on record as a huge fan of Kylian Mbappe, and it turns out that Andrew Robertson is too.

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has told ESPN’s Youtube channel that the toughest opponent he has ever come up against is PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.

Liverpool took on PSG, most recently, in last season’s Champions League group stages.

Liverpool won their match at Anfield, but lost in France to Mbappe’s side.

 

And Robertson has now admitted that Mbappe is the hardest opponent he has ever come up against.

Robertson is not the only person at Liverpool to rate Mbappe very highly.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp also spoke last year to RMC Sport about how much he loved the forward.

"I love him, to be honest. What a player he is and a nice lad as well, so he's a really good kid," Klopp said. "What a player, what a player.

Mbappe has been tentatively linked with a move to Liverpool, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, although the transfer rumours appear hopeful at best.

If Liverpool were to even have a chance at signing Mbappe they would have to pay a huge fee, with TeamTalk suggesting he is valued at £200 million by PSG.
