Quique Sanchez Flores's Watford desperately need centre-backs and the Premier League side sent scouts to watch Brescia v Juventus in Serie A.

Watford are interest in signing Brescia defender Andrea Cistana after watching his impressive performance in this week’s Serie A clash against Juventus, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
Considering that The Hornets were left stung by a staggering 8-0 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday, it is no surprise that the Premier League strugglers are planning to reinforce an ailing back line in January.
In fact, Watford fans were left baffled after the under-fire technical director Filippo Giraldi signed only Craig Dawson over the summer with the general consensus remaining that the Hertfordshire outfit needed more than a former West Brom stopper.
So this explains why Watford sent scouts to Lombardy on Tuesday with Cistana producing another impressive display in Brescia’s narrow 2-1 defeat at home to the champions.

The Italian produced three blocks and three clearances and showed an impressive ability with the ball at his feet too, completing 93 per cent of his passes.
La Liga outfit Villarreal, who’s shaky defence very nearly resulted in relegation from the Spanish top flight last season, are interested too so Watford face a battle for a player who could walk into Quique Sanchez Flores’s starting XI.
